Thank you for your inquiry today about our horses. We have some mighty fine Morgans. We are pleased that you'd stop by to find out more about them. We are proud of our horses and encourage you to become more familiar with us and with the wonderful horses that we love.

Majestic Trail Ranch is a small family breeding operation.We are located south of Denver in Parker, Colorado. Majestic Trail Ranch breeds Western Working Morgans.  Our foundation bloodlines trace back to working, using stock. We appreciate the older, more substantial Western-Working type of Morgans and especially treasure the bloodlines and horses produced by the late Harry, Mabel and Georgia Sweet, who were Northcentral Kansas farmers/ranchers. For over 35 yrs these honest, blue-collar hardworking folks pursued their passion of producing quality stockhorses, suitable for hard work on the ranch and equally adapt in the performance classes of the day. When you bought a Sweet's bred Morgan, they came with a set of Registration papers and a boatload of "braggin rights'. They registered their Morgans, using the prefix 'Sweet's' or 'D's' for most of their stock. Harry and Mabel Sweet blended together the offspring of Rhythms Bimbo (Archie O x Rhythms Lovely Lady) and Classy's Pride (Classy Boy x Chuckanut Hacienda). Both stallions were out of mares with solid lines like Jubilee King, General Gates, Linsley and some of the Old Government lines. The selective linebreeding of these two family-lines worked well for the Sweet's and helped to set those characterstics that they valued most in an honest ranch horse.  Sweet's-bred horses are "using" horses....animals that have that special desire and drive to work! They are tough and untiring, unflappable, easily trained and calm under pressure. Years and years of careful linebreeding have set the characteristics that we most admire: correct conformation, outstanding dispositions and exceptional athletic ability. While we realize that this "Classic, Old-type Morgan" is not everyone's pot of gold, it sure is to us!! We believe in form to function and understand that well-conformed horses stand the best chance of being solid performers, who will remain sound, healthy and successful, not just for today but over the span of a lifetime.

In establishing the Sweet's-bred Morgan horse as the foundation for our breeding program, we have become beneficiaries of the 35+ years of breeding expertise that Harry & Mabel put into their Morgan Horse enterprise. The good horses that we are producing today are simply the results of Sweet's tried and true breeding program. With the Sweet's horses as our foundation, we are getting just what we want: Morgans that are square, solid, sensible, substantive and very often handsome to boot. Our horses are built for performance, both mentally and physically. Whether you are wanting a show horse, a competitive or pleasure trail horse, a carriage-driving performer or a spinnin',slidin',cuttin' western "using" horse, the Sweet-bred Morgan horse can and will do it. Best of all these horse exemplify the kind, inquisitive and wonderful dispositions that the Morgan breed is so famous for, making them especially sutable for the amateur owner/competitor and as a unique and special family addition. It is our goal to continue breeding and promoting these bloodlines.
